Little Good Books {Review & Giveaway}

We love books, and I personally love checking out online book stores because there’s something alluring about shopping from home with a cuppa and with my toes digging into my beanbag. Ok, you didn’t need to know about the last part. But I thought I’d just share with you an online bookstore I shopped at recently – Little Good Books.

The recently launched Rewards Program allows customers to earn points for their purchases to exchange for a free gift.

Little Good Books is a home based business selling children books and novelty items for ages 0-7 years old.

What I love best about Little Good Books and what I feel makes it stand out among other online bookstores is their ACE review. Besides being the usual online bookstore providing the synopsis of books, each picture book is accompanied by a review of three elements – Artwork, Coacher, Entertainment. It makes it so much easier to decide which books would appeal to our children.

The picture books are also tagged with keywords such as colours, emotions, bedtime to facilitate ease in search. The layout of the website is kept clean and customers can either search by categories, age group or format.

The items in store are a mixture of ready and pre-order stocks. Pre-order will typically take 7-10 working days to be fulfilled, subject to stock availability. As for payment mode, currently Little Good Books accepts only bank transfer so you would have to do a one-time adding of the bookstore to your payee list if you have an internet banking account.

Sharing a few of our purchases with the store this time -

A beautiful and remarkable story of a “child’s” journey to independence – click the picture to view the item in store (but only after you’ve read this post to the end!)

And this is my boy’s favourite book – even after ONE month, he still asks for ‘Goodnight Goodnight’ before every naptime and bedtime. I strongly recommend it for little boys who love their trucks.

An excellent alternative to bedtime stories from the usual bidding good night to little animals.

Oh and just because he loves this book so much, I thought I’d share a page with you because this is his favourite page. Can you guess why? icon smile Little Good Books {Review & Giveaway}

He loves that the crane truck hugs a little bear to sleep, just like him! :)

And here’s the book that Little Good Books will be giving a copy of to one of my lucky readers!

I love this book best of all and so does my daughter! It’s a humorous story of how Duncan opens his crayon box one day to find letters written by the crayons telling him that they quit (and they give such hilarious reasons why too!)

The letter looked so realistic that when I read this to my little boy for the first time, he tried to pick up the letter! icon biggrin Little Good Books {Review & Giveaway}

The illustrations are so lovely, don’t you agree?

Do you enjoy the witty banter you read above? Then you’ll be thrilled to know that there’s much more as each colour in the crayon box has a letter of their own!

My personal favourite would be peach:

He’s naked and doesn’t dare to come out of the box because his paper wrapping had been peeled off. I can’t remember just how many times I’ve scolded the kids for tearing the covers off their crayons and this page just brought the message home loud and clear!

So here’s the eventual artpiece Duncan did and there’s just soooo much to discuss with the children!! Definitely an enjoyable read for both kids and adults!
